Dr. Miller has a long-term interest in understanding how pathogens co-ordinate the expression of virulence determinants during an infection. Her lab’s current research focuses on the contributions of capsule over-production and acquisition of the rmpADC locus to the hypermucoviscous phenotype of hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae strains.
